Recipes - Soft Chewy Sugar Cookies

• 1/2 cup butter or margarine
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 tablespoons milk
• 2 cups Ceresota / Heckers Unbleached Flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  

1. Cream butter or margarine; gradually add sugar until smooth.
2. Add egg and vanilla; cream thoroughly.
3. Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda.
4. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk; blending thoroughly.
5. Roll into 1-inch balls; coat ball with granulated sugar.
6. Place 2-inches apart on ungreaesed cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes.
